Visiting your Dentist

As part of oral hygiene, going to your dentist regularly is needed. Your dentist is able to prevent problems as well as diagnose them in their early stages so that it is possible to resolve problems.

Even if you don't have any pain or discomfort, that doesn't necessarily mean that there isn't an oral problem. For instance, gum disease in its early stages does not show any "perceptible" symptoms to the patient, even though it could lead to tooth loss.

Those whose smoke or drink alcohol need constant supervision by the dentist due to the fact that these habits promote significant aggression to the oral mucosa.

Those who have metabolism imbalance should also see a dentist more frequently, e.g. Diabetes increases significantly the incidents of gum disease.

A golden rule is to visit your dentist once every six months or at the least, once a year.
