Flossing

Oral hygiene is only achieved with flossing, since brushing alone does not remove dental plaque in between the teeth. 

Follow the following tips to make flossing more efficient for you:

  • Floss at least once a day.

  • Take a piece of dental floss about 15 inches long, and hold with your forefingers and thumbs. 

  • Delicately put the dental floss in between your teeth and move the floss against the tooth, never against the gum. Repeat this on the next tooth.

  • Repeat this on all teeth.

  • With the majority of patients, the use of dental floss is enough. In some cases, it is necessary to use other devices such as an interproximal brush.
