German researchers of Hamburg's School of Medicine discovered that the association of 2 drugs, ribavirin which is already in use with a new drug, peginterferonalfa-2b (PegIFN), it is capable of promoting the suppression of Hepatitis C virus; however until the present moment they cannot predict the cure for Hepatitis C. The study involved 1500 chronicle Hepatitis C patients and the researchers said they accomplished "significantly higher success rates" when compared to the conventional treatment.
